Bouzy lives wine. From its restaurants and bars on Mauritskade, Denneweg and Prinsestraat, Bouzy offers a multi‑hub wine playground. Sure, The Hague has other solid players, but most local spots are restaurants that also have wine list. Bouzy is the reverse: wine first, then food aimed to adhere to their monumental standard.

Bouzy imports many of its wines directly (they handle the middlemen), giving them the flexibility to price serious bottles at or even under what you’d expect in a retail shop. This gives wine nerds permission to treat themselves without flinching.

Then there’s the kitchen: torch‑kissed langoustines, beef cheek paired with fennel and leek, crispy rösti crowned with veal tartare. These are no mere “wine snacks”. they’re seriously good dishes. I can imagine it is not easy to get the deserved appreciation for food in a place that is so wildly high regarded for it wines. Well, let it be known, this is good food. Really good.

Bouzy is The Hague’s wine temple. An intellectual, yet warm place where liquid leads, but don’t skip it if wine is not your magnet; bring someone who sips to eat...
