Nestled in a sheltered beachside cove, Es Torrent feels like a secret whispered among locals. An improbable mix of barefoot sand and linen‑draped tables. It is both laid‑back and upscale luxurious at the same time: you might arrive by boat and slip in for a dip after lunch.

But all the atmosphere, in my opinion, counts for nothing if the food is off.. and let me tell you.. every dish aims to showcase the sea’s bounty in it's most pristine form.

Mussels "a la marinera" the size of my fingers, cooked to perfection giving a depth of flavour I have not uncovered in a mussel before. Sea-bass in salt. So pure, so beautiful, so clean... It makes you silent for a second and feel a deep connection to the sea. "Bullit de peix" with Spiny lobster. My god.. a revelation. Lobster & fish simmered in a light sofrito broth, no filler, clean and elemental. The broth is then rescued, reduced, and transformed into their "a banda" rice. Each grain infused with the souls of the fish you just consumed. The depth of flavor is unworldly: concentrated, oceanic, nourishing and heartwarming.

Yes. It is pricey. But every bite reminds you it was worth it. Es Torrent is unique: a luxe beach‑front temple for fish lovers, modest in setting yet on the f*cking nose in execution. Pay the premium, and swim away with memories for a lifetime.
